In November 2018 local Dj legend Joel Grimson AKA DJ Joelism took 8 very lucky youth of Nambucca Heads and surrounding areas to attended the Free “Skills To Pay The Bills” Dj Course.
The course involved lots of hands on training but also ventured into a whole other side of the music industry that isn’t normally taught in your normal Dj course.
Joel covered how to invoice properly, How to promote yourself and apply for gigs, Different avenues of work in the industry For example Wedding DJ, Festival Dj, Production. Events management and more.
The young people that attended the course now have a broader understanding of not only how the music is played but the ins and outs of running your own business which is a very important thing for you people to learn.
